Trello Stale-Card Watcher

Each morning, surfaces Trello cards that haven't moved in too long — and nudges them with a comment.

Lists your Trello board's open cards every morning, finds the ones that haven't had any activity in a while, and adds a 'stale, please review' comment. Keeps your board honest without you having to spelunk through it.

Every weekday at 9 AM, list the open cards on my Trello board <board id>. For any card that hasn't been updated in 7 days, add a comment: "Stale — please review or move to Parking Lot." Then email me a one-line summary of how many cards you nudged.

What you get.

  • Change the staleness threshold — 3 days, 7 days, 14 days.
  • Move stale cards instead of commenting — drop them into a 'Parking Lot' list.
  • Filter by label — only watch cards tagged 'in progress'.
  • Pipe a daily summary to email or Slack instead of leaving comments.
  • Run weekly instead of daily.
